„Headmistress’ Tea Party”

Dear Parents,

I have a pleasure to inform, that we are starting the program of implementing moral values among students. It is a very popular practice in British primary schools.

Each month we will put emphasis on one of the selected moral values which we would like our students to pay attention to.

The values are:

  1. Respect
  2. Honesty
  3. Responsibility
  4. Courage
  5. Self-discipline
  6. Peacefulness
  7. Fairness
  8. Optimism
  9. Solidarity
  10. Wisdom

At the beginning of each month, students will be informed which of these qualities we will observe in the near future. The main teacher will conduct a PSHE session in which they will discuss the specific value. You will be able to find this information in the newsletters sent by the main teacher at the beginning of each month, as well as those posted on our website.

At the end of each month, the main teacher, in consultation with other teachers, will decide which of the students has shown the given moral value the most.

The student will be rewarded with a personalised invitation to a meeting dedicated to those children selected by their main teacher in a given month.

At the meeting, while having a cup of tea and cake, we will have the opportunity to talk about the moral value of the month. If possible, it will also be attended by our Managing Director, Ms Magdalena Eysmont.

In the present situation, the student has the right to choose whether they prefer to meet me at the school premises or online.

For the last 3.5 months of the current academic year, we have decided to choose the following values:

  1. Respect – from 22nd March till 30th April,
  2. Honesty– from 3rd May till 28th May,
  3. Responsibility – from 31st May till 18th June.

I will be arranging the exact dates of the meetings on a regular basis.

Headmistress,

Maria Fiedorczuk-Piechota.
