PBAW celebrated the new school year with the annual picnic! This year we had a “Taste of Africa” theme as part of a fund-raising event for our new “sister school,” Assalam_international_school. Ms. Kamila, our former director who is now working with them, brought beautiful dolls and cloth bags for us to sell and auction off. Our students also created beautiful pictures and brough other treasures to sell. We raised over 4,000pln for the school! We also had a guest African drummer who brought his drums and taught the children some drumming techniques. There was food and games and of course, one of the highlights was the Teachers vs. Parents volleyball game. Parents took home the honor of the win this year but all had fun!! It was a great way to start off our school year. Thank you to parents for providing food and drinks, for the PBA volunteers for helping to set up and teachers for supervising activities!
